Pousada
Guaraná opened in November of
2005, built by Brazilian architect Juli
Corrêa and owned and operated
by his daughter Jimena and her husband
David. The design of the pousada is
a combination of rustic elements of
exposed eucalyptus wood beams with refined
artistic touches of colorful tiles,
stained glass and colored cement.
The
pousada is similar to a Bed and Breakfast
you would find in Northern California
where Jimena and David called home for
many years. The inn has twelve simple,
quaint and cozy rooms with high ceilings
and eclectic decorations from all over
the world. Dense gardens surround every
corner with loads of flowers and hummingbirds,
and a nice swimming pool to cool off
during hot days. Breakfast is always
well served with home made breads, cakes
and jams, fresh juices, varieties of
tropical fruits, egg dishes, strong
coffee and much more.
Other
amenities include an enclosed secure
area for parking, bikes to borrow to
explore the historic center and beach
areas and WiFi access throughout the
pousada. All the guest rooms are very
spacious and are equipped with a mini
fridge, TV, fans and their own private
bathroom with hot shower. All our guest
rooms are non-smoking areas.
